Less then 2 months to go! Wow! We are really getting down to the wire. Here are a few updates on our preparation for Ervy Dos.
Nursery- A few weekends ago Jeff and I (well mostly Jeff while I supervised) put together the crib and dresser. They are both Pottery Barn knock offs and I love them! The crib is convertible to a toddler bed and then a full size bed so therefore I wanted to make sure the dresser was big enough for the future and not just meant for baby clothes. All of the Pottery Barn Kids dressers were tiny so this knock off worked out perfect! I have ordered the bedding from Land of Nod and I am so excited to see it all put together. We are going for a transportation theme this time. Cars, trucks, trains, bikes, ect.
I also ordered four cute prints from Etsy. I can't wait for them to arrive. Jeff has begun painting stripes on the wall behind the crib and I love them! Next up is going through all of Austin's old clothes and sorting them into drawers for little brother. All of it is washed and neatly put in bins by size so hopefully it won't take too long. See my OCD tendencies pay off sometimes ;) More pictures to come once it is all put together.
Name- We have a list of a few names that we like, but we haven't narrowed it down just yet. Who knows a few more names could be thrown in the mix before it's all said and done. At this point we are just going to wait until he is here and see him before we officially release a name. I want to make sure he looks like his name, and to be honest it's easier to not hear a million different opinions.
Mommy and Baby- We were supposed to have a doctor appointment today, but a few ladies went into labor so Dr T had to reschedule for Thursday morning. The nerve! Austin will be joining me for the appointment so hopefully he is a good boy. I am definitely feeling bigger and slowing down a bit so I can tell I am nearing the end. The little man isn't moving quite as much so I guess he is running out of room. I will say that it is all starting to become very real that I will have two little boys very soon. Part of me is so excited and part of me is a little bit scared. We are in such a groove now with one kid that it will definitely be a change to our routine. Luckily this time around we know what we are doing, and hopefully experience will make things a bit easier. I do get emotional when I think about that fact that Austin will have to share mommy and daddy, but I know in a few months he will really enjoy having a playmate. When the time comes we will all be ready to welcome the newest member of the Ervick family and embrace all of the change that comes with our newest sweet little nugget.
