| The original Franklin Farm. Still standing in our neighborhood. |
It has been about 5 weeks since we moved into our new place in Franklin Farm and I am finally starting to feel like I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. So far we love our neighborhood and the house. Franklin Farm is comprised of about 1700 houses with 2 pools, tennis courts, fishing ponds, walking paths, and several basketball courts. It is a great place for kids and I hope that Austin will love it as much as we do. Everyone has been so friendly and our first week here we had 3 different neighbors come over with welcomes cakes and flowers.

Over the past few weeks we have been busy little bees unpacking, buying furniture, organizing, doing daily life stuff, and chasing after our wild man! We are trying to get most of it done before Austin's first birthday party, but there is only so much we can do since most of the new furniture won't arrive until late September or early October. Oh well the rooms will be more open for all of the people! Decorating a house has been kind of overwhelming, but I am doing the best I can. Of course if I had an unlimited budget it would be very easy, but my frugal nature poses an issue or 2 at times. One of the first things we bought was a king size bed. Amazing! Ok well it is amazing to me, because between the cat and Jeff I was squished in our queen. Jeff is quite the cuddler when he sleeps and would be in a full bed if he had it his way ;) We also got a tempurpedic mattress to help with my scoliosis. I love a hard mattress, but Jeff isn't too fond of it. We are thinking of returning it and buying a Sleep Number instead. Let me know if you have tried one and what you thought of it.
So little by little we are turning this house into our home. I will update you with pictures and projects along the way. Off to watch HGTV so I can get some ideas.

You are doing an amazing job! And remember, Rome wasn't built in a day;-)
