11 months

Dear Baby Austin,

Here we are at 11 months.  Yes that means in technical terms it is the last month you are officially a "baby".  Of course in my book you will always be my baby, so I will continue to call you baby Austin until you tell me you are a big boy.  I swear you get better and better each month.  You are such a lover.  This past month you have learned so many cool new things!  You are very mobile and you crawl and pull up everywhere you go, investigating every cabinet, drawer, and spec of dirt you find on the floor.  You put everything in your mouth!  I guess it is your  way of learning.  One of your favorite games is chasing mommy and daddy around while they crawl on the floor.  Then of course you want us to chase you too.  You started to communicate with words and you can say Da Da, Ba Ba, and Pa Pa, although I am not sure you know what they all mean yet.  You love to stick your tongue out and of course you love to touch mommy's tongue too.  It makes you laugh every time. 

 You love playing with blocks and trying to put them in the correct hole.  Sesame Street and Baby Einstein are your favorite shows.  Next month we are having an Elmo themed birthday party for you since he is your favorite character.  Now that you can stay awake a little longer in between naps we are always on the go.  We do play dates, pool time, gymboree, and of course a little bit of shopping.  You are the best sidekick, even when you whine because I am taking too long in a store.  Get used to it kid!  I try and wear you out as much as possible so that you will really enjoy your sleep.  Speaking of sleep you are still on 2 naps but your bed time is now between 7-8pm.  Daddy loves it because now he can see you more after work.  Your face lights up when daddy gets home from work and you quickly crawl over to him so he will pick you up.  You all play for awhile and then he reads you one of your favorite books Spot Loves Daddy or Brown Bear.  We will always treasure these amazing days spent with you.  You continue to teach us so much more then we could possible teach you.  We are so blessed to be your mommy and daddy.  Happy 11 month birthday bubby.
