For the past few weeks we have seen signs around town promoting the Fairfax County 4H fair at the farm near our house. Jeff has great memories of going to the 4H fair in NJ growing up so we decided to take Austin. Awesome idea if it wasn't 95 degrees outside. We had a great time, but we almost melted! We took Austin around to see the pigs, horses, goats, sheep, baby chicks, and cows. He loved it. I got to hold a 3 day old baby chick and it was so precious. I wanted Austin to touch it, but I was terrified that he was going to strangle it. We are still working on his gentle handles when it comes to animals. Poor Moxie has paid the price. After we saw the animals we got some italian ice to cool down and took a ride on the carousel. We think Austin liked the carousel ,but it was hard to tell because he was overheated and wasn't babbling or smiling. He wasn't crying so we will take that as a yes! Next year we will go at night when it's a little cooler.
