Austin has been eating apple and
raisin (boiled and blended)
oatmeal for breakfast for a few weeks now so I figured it was time to switch it up. This morning I made him peach and apricot oatmeal. It was so easy and he really likes it. I made this batch a little bit chunky since he is on stage 2 foods now. Here is the recipe if you want to try it out.
from: Baby Love
2lbs of frozen peaches
1 cup of dried apricots (about 20) * be sure they are not treated with sulpher dioxide. Some babies may have a sulpher allergy.
20 ounces of water
1/2 cup of baby oatmeal
Peaches, apricots, and water in a 4 qt pot. 7 minutes on high with the lid
Add oatmeal and stir for an additional minute
Blend
Pour into trays
*I added cinnamon to give it a little extra flavor.

Quick question- I bought Austin Gerber yogurt the other day. It says it has whole milk in it. Is it to early for dairy products? It says it is for the "sitter" stage so I figure it is
ok?
Looks Yummy may have to try this, and yes the yogart is OK! Cole loves yogart!
ReplyDeleteI am just SO proud of you...you have really made his food experience not only healthy but YUMMY XOXO
ReplyDeleteYou have to Yobaby! It's the best.. organic and actually they make it with fruits and veggies. Crazy but my kids loved the yogurt, peach, and squash combo. It was great for one the go too!
