2nd Annual Christmas Tree Hunt

Saturday afternoon we set out for the Ervick/Geary 2nd Annual Christmas Tree Hunt. We decided to try out a new place this year since last year's tree pricked me and had me hanging ornaments in my gardening gloves. So around noon we headed out to Ticonderoga Farms in Chantilly, VA. This place was huge and they had a large assortment of trees to choose from. It was freezing, but no snow like last year so it made it easier to find our tree. After about 45 minutes of Jeff inspecting every tree we found "the one". I have to say it is quite a beauty! I think Jeff said it's a Virginia Spruce, or was it Pine, or Fur? Any who I think it's pretty and it doesn't prick me so I am happy. After Jeff cut down the tree and dragged it back to the car we were off to decorate. Jeff did the lights inside and outside and I did the ornaments. I have to admit that although I have always favored a fake tree, I do like the our little Christmas tree hunt tradition.
