Yesterday our big boy turned 3 weeks old! He is weighing in at 11 lbs. He gained a pound in one week! This week he started playing on his activity mat and he loves it! His favorite animal on there is the monkey. I can tell he gets bored sometimes during the day so it is nice to have another option for entertainment. Austin also is learning to like his bath time. I typically do bath time in the morning because that is when he is in the best mood. As long as he is warm he is happy. As soon as he gets out he wants his diaper back on pronto. My modest little guy haha. He is becoming so much more alert. I love watching him look around at everything in room. He also likes to look for his mama when he hears my voice.Here are some of Austin's current favorites:
Halo Sleepsack with Swaddle -
Every night Austin sleeps in his sleepsack. The nurses in the hospital were awesome at swaddling Austin in just the blanket, but when Jeff and I tried he broke free. The sleepsack was the perfect solution because it is velcro and easy.

Swaddle Designs Blanket
Since Austin is a big boy the Swaddle Design blankets have been wonderful because they are oversized. We prefer the lightweight version so that he doesn't get overheated during the night. We use this blanket over top of his sleepsack since he has a habit of breaking free.
Pampers Sensitive Newborn -
We have tried a few different brands and the Pampers Sensitive Newborn size have prevented the most blow outs and leaks. He is on the verge of going to size 1 but I think it will be another week until we are there. *We use the sensitive because they don't have the DryMax which has been known to cause chemical burns.
Sleep Sheep- We keep this in his pack and play and he falls asleep to the rain sound every night. Babies love any kid of soothing sound that reminds them of the womb.
Soothe and Glow Seahorse -
Austin likes to listen to the seahorse while he is getting his diaper changed, after bath time or while nursing. He also likes to look at his lighted tummy.

Precious Planet Bouncer. She really loves being in there and it is great to carry into the kitchen while we are eating. We are now pros at bouncing her with our foot while we eat!
Snuggle Nest. It followed her from the cradle to the crib and the bolsters/sleep positioner really make her feel secure (I think!)
Soothie Pacifiers. Carly constantly needs to be sucking on something (insert joke here)...so we don't go anywhere without them. If we forget it she gets rather frustrated trying to fit her entire fist into her mouth.
MOBY!!! Try it Momma. I am typing with her in it as we speak! Its nice to be on the real computer for a change. Sick of typing one handed on the Blackberry while she nurses! Haha.
