Once you reach week 37 in your pregnancy, if you were to begin labor your health care practitioner would not try to stop it at all and let you progress naturally until you gave birth. At 37 weeks, your little one’s body is complete and ready to function outside of the womb. The amount of amniotic fluid begins to decrease during this time of pregnancy and your little one may even begin to slow down the growth process, since it has most of the fat stores it needs in order to survive and regulate its own body temperature once born. So rest assured that if your labor was to begin anytime after your 37th week in pregnancy, it is still considered full term and you can look forward to a new little family member quite soon!
So very exciting news, but of course the longer he stays in there the better because I am providing him with all of the nutrients he needs to continue his rapid brain development. It seems so crazy that I could have a baby any day now! No BIG signs of labor yet, but I do continue to feel him put pressure on my bladder and pelvic region. Also the menstrual like pains randomly come and go, but nothing too painful. I guess it's just my body getting ready for the big day! Tomorrow Jeff and I go to the doctor and I will get my first internal exam to see if I have made any progress.
This past weekend we just relaxed and enjoyed each other's company since we won't have many more just Kim and Jeff weekends. We spent the day yesterday putting together the pack n play, swing, and bouncy seat. It still catches me off guard when I see baby stuff sitting around the house, but it is all so cute. When I was at target last week I was browsing through the baby clothes section and I saw NY Giants onesies on the sale rack so I just had to pick them up. Jeff has been a Giants fan for a long time and he is so excited to watch the games with Austin this fall. I wonder if they will look anything alike?!?!

Woo hoo...bring it on! No..he can stay in a little (:o( ) while longer...hehe!
