My Baby is One

Our sweet little baby Landon turned one.  While it is quite a celebration that he has turned one, birthdays are always bittersweet for me because I want my boys to stay my babies forever.  Landon is the sweetest and the most happy baby I know.  He has been that way from the start.  He first smiled at a very young age and he hasn't stopped.  Landon and I have had quite a journey over this past year.  I am the first to admit that I had a hard time adjusting to two kids.  It was much harder to juggle a toddler and baby then I expected.  We moved to Maryland when Landon was 3 months old and I was able to stay home with him for the next 8 months.   Over that time the boys and I figured out our new routine and formed a bond that I hope will never change.  Growing up with a sister I never really knew much about young boys.  I started to learn when I had Austin and now that I have two boys I realize how special they really are.  Yes they are active and rough at times, but they are also very loving.  One of Landon's favorite things to do is to kiss on the lips.  They are slobbery as can be, but I love them!  Speaking of being rough, Landon is one tough cookie.  Austin has been wrestling with Landon since he started crawling and Landon takes it likes champ.  Landon is no small fry at 26lbs, but he is still a baby.  I intervene at times, but I guess it's all just part of being a boy and Landon actually seems to like it.  When Landon isn't hanging with his big bro he can usually be found playing with his cars and making engine sounds.  Jeff says it just melts his heart.  Ha!  I know Jeff's ultimate dream is to one day restore cars with his boys.  Hopefully he will get that wish.  We have been outside a lot lately with this beautiful fall weather, which has been great for our new walker.  In the past 2 weeks Landon has really increased his speed.  He loves to push the lawnmower, popper and diggers all around the yard.  He is one of the messiest babies around and just loves to play in the dirt. Yes Landon is all boy and I couldn't be happier about it.
Lando,  you are more then I could have ever wished for.  Thank you for making my life that much better sweet boy.  You are so loved.
