Even though Mothers Day isn't officially until Sunday, we celebrated a few days early with Austin's preschool. Austin made me an invitation a few weeks ago to join him for brunch on May 7th. I am always so excited when I get to visit him at school and see him interact with his classmates. When I showed up to the fellowship hall they had decorated the whole room with the kids artwork. There were also tables set up with flowers and place mats that the kids made for us. After a few minutes the kids came in and performed a few songs and dances for us. Austin's favorite song was "I'm a Little Teapot". He has been practicing that one at home. Afterwards we sat down and the kids served us the muffins they made for us earlier that morning. Of course the little piggy gobbled up his muffin and was asking for more. Later on the kids gave us the presents and cards that they made for us. He was so excited to show me the pencil holder he painted for me. There were Hershey Kisses inside so he decided those were for him. He seemed so grown up with all of his friends at school. I know he is only 2, but I think I underestimate how much he is capable of doing on his own. Luckily I know he still needs his mama for some stuff. I am not ready to let him get too big yet. I am one lucky mama.
