4 months

Austin celebrated his 4 month birthday this past Monday. It's getting harder and harder to remember life before him, it seems like he has been here forever now! He has developed quite the little personality and he loves to smile. I swear his whole face lights up when he smiles. Every now and again I can get a laugh out of him, but usually it requires some tickling. He loves his playmat and grabbing for all of his animal friends. Just recently he started using the jumparoo and everyday he gets a little better at bouncing off the ground. Tummy time is going much better these days and he will actually lay there for a good 10 minutes before he is on to the next activity. He still has no interest in rolling over, but the doctor told us again that it will come with time since he is a bigger boy ;) I kind of like knowing that he is right where I left him. Austin is our little buddy. It's so awesome to know that mommy and daddy are his favorite people in the world. He has such a big smile when we come in to get him when he wakes up. Speaking of sleeping he goes to bed around 7pm and sleeps until about 6:30am. If he wakes up once during the night then he can go until 8am. He has recently started practicing his talking in the middle of the night, and it's hilarious to listen to him babble on the monitor. Austin is taking 2-3 naps a day and all of them are in his crib, unless we are out and about. I credit Healthy Sleep Habits, Healthy Child for his ability to sleep so well. After reading that book it all seemed to make sense. I know there will be hiccups along the way when it comes to kids and sleep, but hopefully we have set a good foundation.

4 Month Checkup-
Austin went in for his 4 month check up on Wednesday and unfortunately the little man has started battling a cold. They gave him a nebulizer saline treatment to help him breathe a little better since he is wheezing. We may have to go back tomorrow to get another treatment if he is not doing any better. I hate seeing my little boy sick. They are so helpless. So anyways they did not give him the 4 month shots since he was under the weather. The good news is that we were able to get Austin's stats. He is a thriving and happy "little" boy!

Weight: 19lbs 7 oz (95+%)
Height: 26 3/4 inches (95%)
Head: (50-75%)
