Our Little Man

I will always remember today. There was so much excitement leading up to this morning and the day lived up to all of my expectations. I can't seem to wipe this smile off my face. This morning at 8am Jeff and I went to MFA to get my 20 week ultrasound. They wanted to check and see how the baby was progressing and of course the perk was that we got to see if Ervy was a "he" or a "she"! I was expecting they would tell us the sex at the beginning of the ultrasound, but of course the little stinker was sleeping on his stomach with his hands over his private parts. After 30 minutes he finally turned over, but quickly went back to his stomach so no luck. The tech started looking around his bum and there it was...his man parts!!! She took a picture and started typing "I'm a boy". Jeff and I both squealed (ok maybe Jeff's was more manly then a squeal) and Jeff's face was priceless. The past few months Jeff never said if he thought it was a boy or a girl, but after the tech announced it was a boy Jeff said he was confident it was a boy the whole time. The weird part is that every dream I had was about a boy. Never a girl. The other night in my dream the little boy peed on me when I was changing his diaper. They say dreams do come true ladies and gentlemen haha.

I must admit that having a boy is a little intimidating since I really don't know much about little boys, but luckily I have 5 or 6 friends that recently had little boys. I hear that little boys love their mama's. The search has already begun for little boy nursery bedding and decorations. There is so much to choose from! Jeff mentioned that he would like to restore a mini bike or car for Ervy one day. He loves doing that kind of stuff and he would be so excited to pass it on. Our friend's Brian and Jamie already sent little kid motorcycle rain boots. Too cute. I am sure I will be very protective of my little boy, but I will try and let him be as much of a boy as possible ;) So 20 weeks down and 20 weeks left to go! Trying to soak up every second!
