Teddy Bear Picnic

A few weeks ago Austin came home from school with an invitation to a Teddy Bear Picnic at his school.  Jeff and I were pretty excited to go since this was his first big event at his new school.  We hear that he likes school, but we never get to see him in action so this was our chance.  The morning of the picnic the kids prepared lunches for each family which consisted of cheese sandwiches, Cheetos, teddy grahams, apples, and juice boxes.  The packed it in a picnic basket and decorated the fellowship hall with their artwork.  When it was time for the picnic us parents all waited in the fellowship hall and the kids came marching in with their teddy bears to a song.  Of course as soon as Austin saw we were there he got distracted and forgot what he was doing, but it was cute anyways.  After we ate our food we had a dance party.  Austin's favorite song to sing and dance to at school is Rumble Boogie so he got down with all the girls in the class.  Yes he was the only boy dancing.  Just like his dad.   We had the best time seeing our boy in action.  Next up is his class field trip to the zoo and a Mothers Day treat.  Can't wait!
