6 Months

Baby Landon,

6 months ago I was sitting in Reston hospital in awe of my beautiful new baby.  I already knew the ins and outs of how your brother worked, but you were so new to me.   I was so curious to find out what you were all about.  I never could have imagined how special you are to me just 6 months into your life.  You have the happiest and most endearing way about you.  You light up the room with your smile, just like your brother does.  Even on my hardest days you make me happy by just being you.   6 months in I feel like we understand each other.  We have a schedule going and I know what makes you tick.  Our cuddle time in the rocking chair before you go to bed is my favorite.  You eat and we cuddle and rock and sometimes just laugh at the way you love to eat mommy's face. I could go on forever about our love for your little man. Thank you for making my heart grow in a way I didn't know was possible. God sure did create the perfect addition to our family. What you have been up to lately:

• Busy Busy Busy!  You want to keep up with your brother, but you are stuck in a 6 month old body.
• Wobbly sitting
• Rolling everywhere
• EDIT:  At 6.5 months you can crawl.  You can also go from crawling to sitting with ease.
• Loving the jumparoo
• Rocking on your hands and knees.  Scooting to get to a toy.  
• Chewing on everything.
• 2 longer naps.  You refuse to take a 3rd nap.
• You are starting to love your paci when you sleep.  You like mama to rub your back while you fall asleep.  
• Waking up once a night.  Mama is giving you a little bit more time before we start some serious sleep training.
• 12-18 month clothes
• 2 teeth
• 4-6 ounce bottles.  All formula except for before your night time bottle.  Nursing one time a day.
• You still spit up a ton.  Hopefully you outgrow that soon.  
• Loving solids!  Applesauce, butternut squash, blueberries, bananas, pears, carrots, peas, sweet potatoes, baked beans, puffs, yogurt melts.

You are a big boy!  I thought your brother was chubby, but you have him beat.  Fat babies are my specialty and you are truly delicious.
