One Month

I am currently sitting in the recliner in Landon's room typing this blog on my phone while the little guy sleeps on my chest. It is my favorite time with the little man. This is my little bit of quiet time during the mostly busy day. Most of the time Landon is just along for the ride and luckily as long as he is fed, then he enjoys it. My easy going snuggle bunny. Landon is definitely more alert these days and loves to stare at our faces. Every morning when Austin wakes up he asks for "Baby Andon".  He runs into our room and just stares at his brother and smiles.  Well the other morning Landon returned the favor when Austin was tickling him under his chin. It was fitting that Austin would get the first real (non sleeping) smile. They are few and far between right now, but soon I am sure they will be much more consistent. My little guy is growing like a weed these days. His newborn clothes are starting to get too short so he is wearing more 0-3 month clothes. This is no surprise since he eats like a champ! During the day I am lucky if he makes it 2 hours and at night it's normally every 2-3 hours. Being the sole source of food for this little man is very time consuming and exhausting, but I know it's good for him and I like the bonding so it's worth it to me. Hopefully we can keep it up for awhile.  A month in I still feel like we are in survival mode most of the time, but I am starting to get more confident about being alone with the two of them.  Some days are good and some days are tough, but I guess that is just how it goes with kids.  Over time I know we will find our new routine, but for now I think we are managing just fine.  Happy one month birthday sweet boy.  We love you more and more each day.
