38 Weeks

Morning snuggle time in our bed.  The 4 of us.

Total weight gain/loss: +2 lbs or +32lbs. Apparently my baby is trying to put on some major leg rolls in these last few weeks. 

Maternity Clothes? I am getting so excited to wear all of the cute new fall clothes that I see out in the stores.  My maternity clothes are starting to look a little worn after two pregnancies.
Stretch Marks? No

Sleep/Pregnancy Symptoms? I am up every hour, but usually I can fall back asleep.  Still having Braxton Hicks contractions.  My lower back has started aching and Dr T said it's probably just the way the baby is laying.  I feel like I am just ready to have this baby.  I am tired of feeling big and not being able to chase after Austin.  I know it won't be easy to keep up with two kids, but I want my body back.  This may be my last pregnancy so I am just trying my best to enjoy these last few days of being pregnant.

Appointment Update:  One Tuesday I had my 38 week appointment and much to my surprise I have actually made progress!  I am 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced.  The baby is still posterior, but Dr T said he may be that way until I go into labor.  So folks only 9 more cms to go until this boy makes his way into the world.  Dr T is still saying that Ervy Dos is smaller then 9 lbs so I guess we will see soon enough.  With all of this weight I am putting on in these last few weeks I think he is trying to compete with his brother.  Dr T is guessing this labor will be a lot faster then with Austin so I am kind of anxious to see how it all plays out.  I just hope for a smooth delivery and a healthy baby.

Best moment this week: My last day of work yesterday!  I made it through my 38th week so I feel good.  I have a few more things to wrap up while Austin is at school this morning and then I can just relax and enjoy these last few days with my family.  My boss was nice and let me take vacation time until I actually deliver and start my maternity leave. 

What I am looking forward to:  Finally meeting this baby sometime within the next two weeks!

Austin patted the couch and said "Mama cuddle" and then grabbed my hand.  Could he be any sweeter?
