On Saturday I hit the 37 week mark, which means if the baby was born this week he would be considered full term. His lungs are now fully developed, but his brain still has a little bit more developing to do over the next week or two. I had my 37 week appointment today and the little guy is apparently happy as a clam in there. He is quickly running out of room, but I am still 0cm, 50% effaced, and posterior. This basically means no baby this week. That is fine with me because it is still early, but talk to me in 2 weeks and I may be singing a different tune. Dr T has started me on primrose oil to help my cervix thin out over the next few weeks. As you can see from the picture this kid is looking big like his brother and it's getting painful when he moves. Dr T won't give a weight estimate, but he does say that my body can handle it so that is the good news. The little man's favorite time to move is when I am hungry or at night when I am trying to relax. Jeff and I just watch him move all over my stomach and push his butt up in the air. Austin still likes to sleep on his belly with his butt in the air so I guess it's a family trait. Little man's heart rate was right around 140 which apparently is really good and my blood pressure looks good as well. I have been having some nasty migraines this week so I was glad to hear my blood pressure was good. Also I got the results from my Group B Strep test and they were negative yay! Now I don't have to worry about getting to the hospital in time to get my full round of antibiotics before the delivery. Ok so here is the run down for this week:
Total weight gain/loss: +2 lbs or +30lbs. Yes that is 2lbs in a week. Are you kidding me?! Please tell me this is water weight.
Maternity Clothes? I can't wear my own t-shirts anymore. I have ventured into Jeff's drawers.
Stretch Marks? No
Sleep/Pregnancy Symptoms? I am not sleeping that well, but it could be worse. I wake up to pee all the time, although most of the time barely anything comes out. I guess it's just pressure. I had a lot of headaches this week, but I went to the chirporactor today so hopefully that will help. Usually it does. Jeff has been busy with work stuff lately so I have been doing a lot of the evenings on my own with Austin. I am pretty much exhausted, but we still have fun. I definitely take advantage of Jeff when he is home. He has been really good about helping out. Braxton Hicks are still in full force at night.
Best moment this week: Anytime I get to spend relaxing with Austin. Family dinner at Olive Garden (one of my cravings).
What I am looking forward to: My days off of work this week. This fall like weather is amazing and I can't wait to spend some time outside. Date night later in the week. Also my massage later today!
