Third Tri...Oh My!

82 days left!  Are you kidding me?  Baby boy and I are officially in the home stretch.  Do I feel ready?  Not really, but I am getting there.  Last week I finally hit the "nesting" phase where I feel like I have to start getting things ready around the house.  I know I have 3 months left, but you never know what can happen and so I just want to be semi prepared.  Last time around I think I already had the room set up and ready to go by this time.   It's amazing how much time you have on your hands before kids!  I have started planning out the nursery and I have actually found some great deals.  We are borrowing a crib and changing table from friends, we found a great deal on a pottery barn knock off dresser, the bedding was on sale at pottery barn kids, and I found a second camera for my monitor on craigslist for $30!  Next up is painting the stripes in the nursery and finding a double stroller that I actually like.  I have tested a few strollers, but it just seems like I am driving a Cadillac and I will never be able to get the thing through a store aisle.
As for baby and I we are doing pretty well.  I had my 27 week appointment last week and everything looked great.  The baby was quite active as usual and he was putting on a show for the doctor.  It has been unbearably hot here lately so that doctor made sure I am drinking plenty of water to ward off preterm labor.  Last time around I had really bad swelling in my ankles and feet, but this time I haven't noticed any...yet.  I am about +18 lbs so far, but 5lbs of that was in the last month.  All of that junk food on vacation caught up to me!  I am still under what I weighed last time around so I am OK with it.  My belly looks the same as last time though and I have a feeling it will be quite the torpedo by the end.  What can I say I make big babies.  So from here on out my appointments will be 2 weeks apart and then eventually every week.  All part of the build up before the big day!
25 weeks
28 weeks.  Can we say growth spurt?!
