For the third consecutive year Jeff participated in the 24 hours of Lemons Race. These races take place all over the United States and in the past Jeff and his team The Victors of War have participated in the NJ race. Well this year they switched it up and they ran the car in the DC race at Summit Point in West Virginia. Summit Point is only about an hour from our house, so Austin and I took the opportunity to go and check it out Saturday night. When we got there it was day 2 of the 3 day race and The Victors of War were in 34th place out of about 150 cars. Not too bad! The team spent all three nights at the track working on cars, riding mini bikes, smoking cigars, and sleeping in tents. Sounds like a dream for Jeff. The race ended on Sunday which was Father's Day, and I think the weekend at the track was the best present for daddy. Hard working dads deserve a fun weekend away sometimes too.
