The month of June is crazy for the Ervick family. Between weddings, work trips, vacations, and renovations we will constantly be on the move. Luckily most of the stuff will be fun. This past weekend we started off the month with a wedding in Cape May, NJ. The little beach town was so cute. We rented a beach house with several of our friends and spent our days at the beach and shopping and at night we went out to yummy restaurants and celebrated Marc and Jen. The wedding was absolutely gorgeous and they had my favorite local DJ so we all danced the night away. Yes belly and all.
Now we are back home and ready for the the next adventure. I leave for Vegas tomorrow for work. Yes this is my second sober prego trip to Vegas in 6 months. Luckily it's a quick trip and then we are off to Bethenny Beach for a week with my family. I am hoping to get some rest at the beach since I have started having Braxton Hicks contractions from being so busy and not drinking enough water. I never had these with Austin, but apparently a lot of people notice them the second time around. I had my 23 week appointment today and the baby is doing great. He is growing right on schedule and the heartbeat sounded just like it should. We actually had a ultrasound of the heart done last week since I was born with a hole in my heart. They wanted to make sure that this wasn't something hereditary that I could pass on. Luckily they did not see any holes in Ervy's heart. One thing they did see was a calcium deposit which isn't a huge concern, but of course anything abnormal makes a parent stress. The doctor said that he sees calcium deposits a lot and as long as there aren't other things going wrong that it should be just fine. Let's just pray he is right. With just 17 weeks left to go until this little one arrives I am starting to feel the urge to get his room ready. You never know what could happen and so I don't want to be scrambling at the last minute. I think I found the bedroom set I want at Babies R Us so I just need to find time to go and order it. The good news is that I feel like I finally have my second trimester energy and so this is the time to get stuff done. T minus 4 days until I am lounging on the sand by the ocean.

Heath had a calcium deposit on his heart too and he was just as perfect as can be. It is super common (like a third of all babies). All you need to worry about is how to deal with two crazy little boys!
ReplyDeleteTime for mamma to get some r & r on the beach...with two toddlers...not likely! HAHAH!! It will be a blast!
