| Ervick Family Photo Thanksgiving 2011 BJ and Victoria's House Bar |
I know I am behind on my blogging, but better late then never right? A few weeks ago we made the trek to Jersey City to spend the holiday with the Ervick's. We left on Wednesday so the traffic was kind of crazy and it took us 6 hours, but Austin was a champ and never complained. I am sure the dvd player and Elmo videos had something to do with it. BJ and Victoria did an awesome job decorating and the house looked beautiful! There were about 23 people at dinner and everyone contributed something to the meal. I tried out a new recipe for corn souflee and it was quite delicious if I must say so myself. Austin loves Thanksgiving dinner and was pretty upset when he couldn't have a second piece of pumpkin pie. He rarely gets sweets and I think he realized what he has been missing all this time. I can't blame the little guy. The next few days we spent in Whitehouse Station at grandma and grandpa's house. The weather was beautiful so we spent time at the playground and just hanging out at the house. Right before we left we went to the local airport where Santa flew in on a plane. There were tons of kids and space to run around. It was great to be able to see everyone and enjoy good company. The holidays are great for reminding us how blessed we are. So thankful for this life we are living.
