The weekend after Thanksgiving we set out for our 3rd annual Christmas tree hunt with the Geary family. It's so crazy because every year that we go we add another kid to the trip. So far Courtenay and I have been alternating. I guess that means it's my turn again next year. Doooh! This year was just as fun as the last two years. Every year we seem to try out a new farm and this year we went to a tree farm in Middleburg, VA. After about an hour of searching through trees and guzzling their eggnog concoction, the boys found trees that they liked and cut them down. Meanwhile Courtenay and I had fun running around after the boys who were so happy to be outside and free. After all was said and done we finished the trip with lunch at Glory Days. Through out the weekend we decorated the tree and the house. For some reason the tree seemed to be a lot bushier when we got home compared to what I remembered from the field. Luckily I had just enough ornaments to cover it. Now that I have more space around the house I definitely need more decorations. Hopefully I will score a few good deals after the holiday.
