What We Have Been Up To...

Well I got him from training Thursday night and I was so excited to see my little guy, the only problem was that it was 10pm and he was fast asleep.  Although I went into spy on him, I was prepared to wait until the morning to squeeze him tight.  Well lucky for me he lost his paci around 11pm so I got to spend a second with him!  Normally I would just give it back to him and leave the room, but of course I took advantage of the opportunity and held him for a second.  Bliss.  I swear it's the the little things people.  Friday we spent the day playing!  He had so much to say!  His new word is GaGa and he says it all the time.  It's so funny.  He has also started calling Jeff DaDa.  He used to say it just randomly, but now he says it with meaning and it's so cute.  He has said Mama directed at me for awhile, but usually it is when he wants something.  Of course right?  Ha.  He also picked up pointing.  He points at things with his finger when he sees something that he wants and he can't get to it.  As far as walking he is still in the beginning stages.  He took his first step on September 11th and since then he has gotten up to 4 steps.  Progress!  After 4 steps he just sits down and crawls to wherever he wants to go.  It is much faster then walking.  I am sure one day he will just get up and start running.  Lord help!
This weekend we hosted a cookout for Jeff's office and everyone was so excited to play with Austin.  He was great and went from person to person smiling and squealing. I love the fact that he is my social butterfly.  As long as he is fed and rested he just goes with the flow.  The adults had a great time playing cornhole, ladder golf, beerpong, and watching football.    Jeff and I are realizing that we really enjoy hosting get togethers at our house.
Monday I started studying for my first exam next week.  I read for about 8 hours a day so Brittany, our nanny while I work, will watch him for a few days.  The rest of the week it will be just me and him and I will study while he naps.  It won't be the easiest, but I don't want to give up my time with him while I am home.
Are you kidding me, look at this nugget?!  So much fun.
