Crib Talk

Austin spent the whole night in his crib last night. What a brave little boy! I am not going to lie, I missed him like crazy. He had a raspy voice/cry yesterday so I was hesitant about putting him in there for the night, but we turned on the humidifier and he was OK. He was up 3 times so it was a little harder on me since I had to feed him in the chair rather then my bed. I hope in the end it will pay off and he will like his crib. I hear these horror stories about kids refusing to sleep in their crib. So anyways we will see how it goes. Wish us luck!

My lactation consultant gave me this poem on my last visit. I love it and yes I get teary eyed every time I read it ;)

I know it's one a.m. Mom
and I should be asleep,
but my tummy's feeling empty
and I'm hungry as can be

You say it's three a.m. Mom
and you're tired as you can be
but I thought I'd like to hold you
and keep you company

And now it's five a.m. Mom
and I'm rested as can be.
I'm so very glad to see you
hope you're glad to see me too

And when I'm sleeping through the night
I'm sure we'll both agree
That we miss those nights we spent alone
Just my sweet Mom and Me.
