5 Weeks

Austin turned 5 weeks on Friday and he is growing like a weed! He officially weighed in at 12 lbs 4oz. That is a 3 lb weight gain since birth. Wow! I don't have his length, but I will try and measure him this week. The little guy has some long legs like his mama. He is changing so much everyday. He loves to look around the room. When I carry him around the house I let him face out so he can see where we are going. He is also beginning to coo and every once in awhile he will give us a smile. I can't wait until he is smiling all the time! I am still breastfeeding him 95% of the time and every once in awhile we will give him 2 oz of formula. I need a break sometimes and the formula really fills him up. I hope to keep breastfeeding for awhile. I really like the bonding with Austin and he seems to like it as well. I will say it is very time consuming, but what else do I have to do at this point? It's 10 pm on a Saturday night and I am off to bed. Things are different these days, but we are adjusting and loving our new life. We had a fun day at Oktoberfest and now it's time to rest up for more adventures tomorrow.
