The Atlantis lived up to the reputation.

It was fabulous! From last Wednesday-Sunday Jeff and I were able to experience one of my new favorite places. Atlantis! It was our first trip to the Bahamas and hopefully it won't be our last. Jeff won a sales contest at work so everything was on the company dime which was quite nice. There were about 150 people there including employees and significant others all of which were under the age of 35. The lazy river was probably one of my favorite things about Atlantis. It's actually not quite "lazy" because there are sections with tidal waves and rapids, but you can still bring a drink on the tube with you ;) The river will also will take you to the Power Tower of water slides which made me feel like a kid again. We also found time to deep sea swim with the dolphins and frequent the Mandara spa for a couples retreat. I seriously need to sign up for Massage Envy, because am in heaven every time I get a massage. Each night we tried out a different restaurant at Atlantis. They have a few big name restaurants such as Nobu (US Weekly hehe) and Mesa Grill which is Bobby Flay's restaurant, and then there are also authentic Bahamian restaurants. Needless to say everything was quite tasty and I think I gained 5lbs on the trip. After dinner each night we danced the night away at Aura or headed off to the casino. The casino was not good to us but we had fun anyways. I think my game is roulette, because black jack dealers always seem to steal my money. Better luck next time. So even though it is always hard to come back from a fun vacation, I am excited that it almost Christmas time. The countdown is on...t-8 days!
