Two Became One

After a year of planning, Jeff and I made it official on Friday, May 1, 2009. We started the weekend off with our rehearsal dinner at Rustico Wine Bar hosted by Ron and Pat Ervick. Let's just say we were a pretty rowdy bunch! We ended the night at The Jetty singing karaoke (Amber) and catching up with friends and family. The next day our wedding took place at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club in front of 140 of our closest friends and relatives. After a rainy morning the sky parted at approximately 4:30pm and gave way to the most beautiful sunny sky for our outdoor ceremony. God was truly shining down on us ;) Jeff and I wrote our own vows and we managed to somehow keep from crying. The ceremony was everything we could have ever dreamt of and more.

After all of the serious stuff we headed inside to dance the night away. I have to say the Ervick Cup Dance was a hit! The dance floor was the place to be all night and I can't wait to see the video. After all of the dancing, singing, eating, and drinking it was time for the night to come to an end. It took us a year to plan, but it all went by so fast. We couldn't have pulled this off without the help from our families who put in so much time and effort. I think I can speak for both of us when I say it was the most amazing time in our lives so far. This is where the blog begins...life as an Ervick.
