7 and 8 Months of Elle

It's summer time and the living is easy, but BUSY!  School is out and so Elle is enjoying her brothers being around all of the time.  It seems like we are also on the go between playdates, swim lessons, boating, the gym, and Vacation Bible School so Elle is used to being carted around.  I try to be pretty good about keeping her on a schedule, but she is good about going with the flow also.  We spend most of our weekends on our new boat and at the sandbar so usually Elle will take one nap in the Ergo carrier on those days.  She loves to just hang out and be around everyone, especially kids.  Everything goes into her mouth and she is definitely more interested in big kid toys rather than baby toys.  Anything her brothers play with must be cool.  They are so great about playing with her and including her in stuff, even when I know it must be annoying to have her take things apart and eat them.   She loves to be outside and watch them ride bikes or just play with their friends.  Right when Elle turned 8 months she started crawling and she is all over the place.  I say crawling, but really one of her legs kind of scoots.  I guess that is her own version of crawling and she is fast.  Watch out Moxie, because she loves that cat and wants to get him.  Just this week she has started pulling up on things and loves it when she can stand up.  My baby girl is so much fun these days.  We just love her to pieces.

  • Loves to play with toys, especially anything her brothers play with.  Keeping small things away from her is a challenge.
  • Loves the pool and being outside.
  • Eating three meals and two snacks a day.  Enjoys feeding herself and loves pretty much all food.  Tolerates her bottle, but would rather eat.
  • Sucks her thumb when she is scared or tired. Will not use a paci.  Has started having some stranger anxiety with adults.
  • Wears 9-12 month clothes.  3 teeth and 3 more coming in.
  • 3 naps.  Sleeps from 7:30-6:00am.  Please start sleeping later soon ;)
  • 19.5lbs
