A few months after Elle was born I was starting to feel cabin fever and it was cold outside so I decided we needed to plan a family vacation. Our friends have a 3 bedroom place in Cancun and so we booked 6 days at their place in March. Bringing three kids 5 and under out of the country was a little bit scary, but it was an adventure and we were excited about it. After packing about 6 suitcases we were out the door and on the plane ride. The kids were awesome thanks to their iPads and snacks and Elle was a dream sleeping in her carseat. The pilots even let the kids go up in the cockpit once we landed which was a cool experience. Gotta love Southwest Airlines. We spent our days at the beach and the pool and the kids had a blast. It was so nice to just be able to sit on the patio and just watch the kids play on the beach. Elle was an angel and was just along for the ride with everything. A few times we ventured out to dinner and to explore and the kids loved the taxi and bus adventures. One of the big highlights of the trip was that they sell Kinder Chocolate Surprise Eggs in Mexico. The boys have seen them on YouTube and they are all the rage but you can't get them in the US. We stocked up! Its the little things ha. Our first vacation as a family of 5 was a success and we can't wait to do it again.
