The Newest Ervick Baby

That's right we are having another baby!  For the past year or so Jeff and I have debated on whether or not to have another baby.  After our loss in the fall we decided to leave it up to God and here I am 15 weeks pregnant with Baby Ervick number 3.  I found out I was pregnant a few days early and we were so excited, yet hesitant after our previous loss.  Around 6 weeks (and our trip to the Bahamas) I started with the food aversions and feeling nauseous.  It was bad and I kept wondering if it was this bad with the boys and I forgot or if this time was really worse.  Also I was breaking out like I was a 13 year old girl which I didn't have with the boys and I all of the sudden developed pregnancy related hyperthyroidism.  This all went on until about 13 weeks and Jeff really had to pick up a lot of slack.  Now that I am in the second trimester things have gotten so much better.  I am still tired and breaking out, but I can deal with that.  We have gone to a few doctor appointments and all seems well so far.  The feeling of seeing the baby on the ultrasound screen never gets old.  Since I am now 35 I got a special blood test done where they screened for genetic defects and also they can tell the gender.  All looked good and at 13 weeks we found out that we are in fact having a GIRL!  Two boys and a girl, it's like a dream come true.  I am so happy that this little girl will have two older brothers to teach her the ways and protect her.  We all listened to the voicemail from the nurse and found out the gender together which was so special.  Austin is so excited it is a girl.  I think Landon is still a little bit confused, but he is only 2 and is starting to come around.  Apparently yesterday at the park he was telling the other parents how his mommy has a baby in her belly.  Every now and then Austin asks to see my belly and says he thinks she is getting a little bit bigger.  He has already named her Izzy, but we will see if that sticks.  I can't wait to see the three amigos together this fall.
