EVERYTHING ERVICK: My 4 Year Old

Last week my big boy turned 4 years old. I don't know how this happened so quickly. I look at pictures of him as a baby around the house and it really doesn't seem like that long ago. He has been so excited for his birthday for months and so of course that makes me excited too. Nothing tops Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Austin's mind so of course he had his Ninja Turtle party and presents all planned out. On the day of his birthday Austin brought super hero popsicles to school to share with his class. He wore a crown all day and they all sang happy birthday to him. He even got to bring home Donnie the Dolphin which he was thrilled about. Each week the class rockstar gets to bring Donnie home for a few days. Later on we went to soccer practice and had dinner with Gaga, our family, and the Housers at Ledos. We came home to finish our celebration with s'mores cupcakes and presents. I just love seeing Austin so loved and happy. He is so proud to tell everyone that he is now a big 4 year old.

Here is what Austin is up to lately:

In the Pre K program at school 3 mornings a week and so far he loves it. His teacher is Ms Christman. He will have one more year of preschool next year since he misses the school cutoff.
He is in his second season of soccer. This is the first year they actually have games so we are working on being competitive. He plays on a team with his buddies Jackson and Bryce.
He LOVES Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He has pretty much every guy and his newest addition is the turtle lair from Gaga. Its great to hear him use his imagination with he plays with his guys. His other favorite toys are super heroes, Legos, trucks for digging, swords, his Powerwheels Truck, puzzles, and making art projects.
His favorite shows are TMNT, Calliou, Toy Story, and Lego Movie
His favorite books are TMNT, Calliou, I Love Trucks, and Pete The Cat. He is starting to memorize books that we read a lot and he will read them to Landon.
Him and Landon play all day everyday. They have their fights too but they are short lived. When they are apart they honestly miss each other.
His favorite foods are pizza, peanut butter and jelly, mac and cheese, and cake/cupcakes. He will eat pretty much anything.
He is can verbally spell his name. He is still learning to write it out. He is starting to recognize sight words.
He dresses himself. He would wear pajamas all day if I would let him.
Austin is still a sensitive guy. He prefers not to be the center of a crowd. He loves hard and plays hard. He is still shy when he first meets people, but quickly opens up once he gets to know them. He loves to cuddle before bed. Still calls us Mama and Daddy. When he is mad you know it.
Sleeps like his daddy. He would love to be a night owl and sleep in late. Bed time is about 8-8:30pm and he wakes up at 7:30am. He no longer naps but he does take a "rest time" in his room.
Stats: 42 lbs (90%) 41 3/4 inches (85%). Wears 4T/5T. Size 10.5 shoe.
