18 Months of Elle

Baby girl time is rolling by these days and you are moving faster than ever.  In your mind you think you are 4 years old and stuck in a 1 year old's body.  You do everything you can to keep up with your brothers and they are your best buddies.  You cry like crazy when they leave you behind.  Now that the weather is turning nicer you like to be outside as much as possible.   You climb to the top of the playground and go down the slide all by yourself and you love when your brothers drive you around in the Power Wheels truck.  You are a friendly little girl and love to play with other kids.  You kiss and hug babies and you love to say "baby".  Speaking of talking you aren't very verbal, but you are starting to come around.  So far you say Mommy, Daddy, Baby, Dirty (poopy diaper), Owl, Eww, Uh Huh (yes), ByeBye, and Hello.  You understand everything and follow directions very well when you want to.  The doctor suggested that we start speech therapy with you, but I think you might come around on your own.  You are one smart little girl and I think you just do things in your own time.  You love books and you can point to all of the pictures that we ask you about.  You and daddy read most nights before bed while you drink your bottle.  I am not ready to give up the bottle yet, because I want to keep you as my sweet baby girl.  We love you and you sweet slobbery kisses my love!  

Here are a few more things you are up to these days:

• Loves to play with pretty much any toy.  Your favorite is your buckle stuffed turtle.  You also like play doh and slime.   
• Favorite books are animal books.  You can say Meow, Ruff, and Roar!
• You don't really want to watch any tv.  You are too busy to sit still.  Occasionally I can get you to watch Baby Einstein.  You have started to play on the iPad/Phone.
• You love when mommy sings to you.  You favorites are Itsy Bitsy Spider,  Twinkle Twinkle, and Little Purple Hippo.  
• You take one nap a day from 12:3-3:30 and you sleep for about 11-12 hours at night.  You suck your thumb in your crib and always sleep with your purple hippo.
• Your favorite foods and pizza, ice cream, apples, strawberries, avocado, butternut squash, yogurt, and chips.  
• You wear 18/24 month clothes or 2T.  Size 6 shoes.  You are working on getting your k9 teeth.
