We have been prepping for kindergarten all summer with playdates, interviews and tours at Austin's new school. Finally on August 24th, 2016 Austin got his day to ride the bus and be a big boy like his friends in the neighborhood. He was nervous and excited, but he was ready. I was still getting there. Mrs. Scott said Austin had a fantastic first day and she even sent home some pictures and videos. Its amazing how much he is learning and so quickly. Austin said his favorite part of the day is riding the bus with his friends. He also loves art class and recess with his buddy Bryce.
I am so thankful that with Austin's September birthday we got some extra time with him at home, but time just went so quickly. He is our first baby, our guinea pig, and I lean on him as much as he leans on me. His shy yet quirky personality makes this family so happy and we will miss him during the days. Landon and Austin were attached at the hip this summer so I am sure it will take Landon awhile to find his new groove and maybe even bond more with his little sister during the day while Austin is at school. We are excited for Austin's new adventure and can't wait to run to the bus stop everyday and hear the stories about his day.
Landon started school on August 31 at St. Martins. While he was bummed that he wouldn't be going to kindergarten like his big brother, he was excited to go back to St Martins and see some familiar faces that love him so much. The loving atmosphere, teachers and community at that school just can't be beat. Landon will be in the 3 day 3's class this year and his teachers are Ms Salton and Ms Duncan and Ms Lyons. Landon is my special guy who is feisty, yet so sweet and quite the little trickster. His class is in for such a treat this year. You can't help, but love that little guy.
