We spent the first Sunday in October at Larriland Farm in Woodbine. It was a perfect fall day and the kids have been asking to get pumpkins and pick apples (like Calliou does on tv). We started off with yummy apple fritters and warm apple cider and then we were off. First we picked out 3 big pumpkins and then we headed up to the apple trees. It was packed but the kids had a blast picking Golden Delicious apples off the trees. The trees were nice and low, so most of the apples they could reach without getting on Jeff's shoulders. A few pounds of apples later we were headed home with a few apple recipes in mind. I made lots of applesauce for the boys and Jeff made his first homemade apple pie. I think this farm will become one of our new fall family traditions.
