And We're Off

About 2 weeks after Landon was born I was standing in the kitchen exhausted and looking for food, when out of no where Jeff says "So Burt asked me if I was interested in managing the Baltimore office today". I thought to myself he must be joking. Clearly he wouldn't ask me to move with a two year old and a two week old. Oh yes he was. Jeff has worked for IGI for almost eight years and they have asked him several times to move to manage different offices. We have always turned it down because it wasn't the right fit. Well this time it was finally the right move for us. Jeff was getting burnt out from doing sales and management is the next step. Plus my family all lives in Maryland so it will be nice for myself and the kids as well. The hard part is that Jeff and I have built our life in NOVA. It is all we have known since we started dating. We have great friends, my pt job, a great house and memories here. I am not going to lie it will be really hard to leave the first week of January. With all that being said I am willing to go because I know it means a lot to Jeff. While it has been crazy stressful selling the house (in a day) and finding a new house and preschool, and doctors, I hope that this will all be worth it in the end. Today will be my last day at my job and Friday will be Jeff's last day in the DC office. Then the organizing and packing begins. We are building a house in Severna Park and it should be done around the first week in January. Luckily some of our best friends Cam and Sarah will live just 3 houses away and my sister will live about 5 minutes away. Our house is in a water privileged community so it will be fun for the kids. Jeff and I are no strangers to moving and this will actually be our 4th place together. Let's just hope we stay here for awhile. So our next adventure begins very soon. We will be sure to keep you updated.
