Two Boys, One Wild Ride

Yesterday we went in for my 19 week follow up to the NT Scan.  They like to continue to check the anatomy and a bonus is that you get to find out the gender if you want.  All along we have been Team Green and we were going to wait until the birth.  Well about 2 weeks ago I started feeling like maybe I wanted to find out sooner.  I have no idea how I will handle two kids and how much time I will have to shop after the birth so the planner in me wanted to be as prepared as possible.  Are you ever ready for a kid?  Probably not totally, but hey here is my effort.  So we got into the room and the tech started looking around and within about 1 minute she asked if we wanted to know because she already knew.  At that moment I knew it was a boy.  Let's just say it's hard to miss that thing sticking up!  Jeff thought it was a boy all along and I kind of thought it was a girl, but it was confirmed that we are going to have another little man!  All along I kept saying that I knew God would give us exactly what our family needed, and it turns out it is a little brother for Austin.  Thinking of these two boys growing up together just 2 years apart makes me so happy.  I pray that they are as close as my sister and I are.  I know there will be fights over toys, and sports games, and girls, but I hope that the good times far out weigh the bad and they have a best friend for life.

My littlest nugget. 11 oz. of love.
So now the planning begins.  I am going to start looking at nursery furniture and decorations within the next few weeks.   Lord knows we have enough clothes for an army so we definitely will save money there.  Also on the agenda is picking out a name.  It's so exciting to start this journey again.
