Yep little man is 2 months old!
Ok well I guess he isn't so little for his age, but he is little to me. Jeff and I took him to the pediatrician for his 2 month appointment and he weighed in at 15 lbs 1oz putting him in the 95%. Luckily he is 24 inches (90-95%) so all of that weight is spread out. The doctor said he had quite a growth spurt since his 2 week appointment
haha. She also said that she wants me to try and stretch his feedings a bit more, but the kid is always hungry so am I supposed to starve him? I think not. Speaking of feeding, Austin is now 50% breastfed and 50% formula. I hate the fact that I can not breastfeed him 100% of the time, but mastitis really seemed to mess things up. I have a big boy that eats a lot and it's hard to keep up. Of course the lactation consultant made me feel bad about it yesterday, but I try not to let that get to me. Overall the Dr. said that Austin looks great and is a happy and healthy boy. After her evaluation it was time for his 2 month shots. I will tell you that it was bad. He cried, I cried, and Jeff almost cried. It is hard to see your child screaming in pain, but he seemed to get over it quickly. He was tired the rest of the day and didn't eat much, but we had some great cuddling time on the couch. I love this kid so much and it
truly does get better every day. I love that he is able to interact with us now and he is constantly learning. I call him Curious George because he is always looking around and taking things in.
Here are some of the things Austin has been up to lately:
- Eating 4 oz (when he is not snacking)
- Wearing 6 month clothing
- Sleeping about 12 hours at night (waking up once or twice)
- Taking at least one crib nap per day. Other naps with me or in the swing.
- He learned to like his swing!
- Not a fan of tummy time, but we keep trying
- Loves to relax in the bath (daddy and Austin time)
- Loves ceiling fans and watching tv (we try not to let him watch but he is sneaky)
- He is starting to put his fingers and fists in his mouth
- Cooing sounds when we talk to him
- Lots of smiles, especially when he first wakes up
- Loves to be outside
- Hates to be in the car seat and not moving. Stoplights and traffic are the enemy
- The boob makes everything better haha

Aww love the picture with milk dripping down his face...he love him some milk! Happy 2 months big boy! :)
