Baby Got Back

Oh, my, god. Becky, look at her butt. It is so big.

*scoff* She looks like,one of those rap guys' girlfriends.

But, you know, who understands those rap guys? *scoff*

They only talk to her, because,she looks like a total prostitute, 'kay?

I mean, her butt, is just so big. I can't believe it's just so round,

it's like,out there, I mean - gross. Look!

Red beans and rice didn't miss me last week haha! Austin and I are in the middle of quite a growth spurt. I got on the scale today and I think I gained 3 lbs since last week. According to babycenter.com Austin gained 4 oz last week which is about a quarter of his total weight. On a side note my belly button is about to become an outtie and my linea negra has debuted. So much going on in week 24 and I am embracing it all.

Here is the 24 week update on my little ear of corn:

Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at just over a pound. Since he's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.
