Mr. and Mrs. Houser

She did it! My little sis got hitched on Saturday, October 24, 2009. The weekend started with a rehearsal at St. Annes Church at the top of Main St. in Annapolis. After getting the order of events figured out we continued the celebration down the street at OB Prime. Even though I lived in Annapolis for a year I somehow never heard of this place and I was truly missing out. We had the whole upstairs dining room and bar with a beautiful stone fireplace. It was a great chance for the friends and families to all mingle and get to know each other better before the big day. Tommy and the fathers gave great speeches and I am sure Kelly and Mike felt very loved. After dinner we headed down stairs to O'Briens for a few drinks and then it was time for Nikki and I to wisk the bride off to the Kent Manor for a good nights rest.
7:00am came very early the next day, but I couldn't sleep anyways because I was too excited. The hair stylist was coming at 7:30 to do Jill's hair and we would all file in after her. It was a great morning of snacking, jabbing, and primping before we were off to the church. At 4:30pm Kelly Whitaker became Kelly Houser in a beautiful ceremony in front of about 115 people. The weather wasn't very cooperative, but we didn't let that ruin the day. Fortunately we were able to get a few shots before and after the ceremony outside. I can't wait to see how all of the professional pictures turn out. After the ceremony everyone boarded the buses and headed to the reception at the Kent Manor Inn. I may be biased but it was probably one of the most fun weddings I have ever been to. I was extremely nervous for speech, but I didn't miss a beat. Once that part was over it was time to hit the dance floor and I don't think anyone left the dance floor until the reception was over.
The after party was at the Crab Deck in Grasonville. As you can imagine there are not many options for bars on Kent Island and on this particular night the Crab Deck was having their annual Halloween party. Let me tell you it was a sight, but we had a blast! I can't imagine that Kelly and Mike were anything but thrilled with their wedding weekend. They are a beautiful couple and I wish them many happy years. Hope these two have a great time in Cabo!
