Graduation Day

Yay! Last day of training in Chicago for my new job! For the past month and a half I have made the Hyatt my new home while I learn my new products. Since Jeff and I just got married it was hard to leave, but it was time for me to start working again. Plus if I never came to Chicago I would have never met my 3 musketeers. Amber and Lena kept me going when the days were long.
Last weekend Jeff came to visit me in Chicago and we stayed with Tony and Rachel in Wrigleyville. They live in the cutest flat right near Wrigley Field with tons of restaurants and bars. My sister in law Kristen was in town for an ice skating tournament so we were able to see her win the gold and go to lunch. I also got to meet Jeff's cousin Kelcy from Indiana. It was great to catch up with family even if it was quick.

For dinner we went to dinner with friends at a great Italian restaurant with outdoor seating in Old Town Chicago. Chicago has the best food! Afterwards we went to see Jeff's friend play with his band at Lucky Lady. They were an awesome cover-band and we danced and played pool all night. Once we got back to Tony and Rachel's place the boys snuck off to get pizza and they "forgot" to bring us some! The next morning we all went to have brunch at Uncommon Ground. We wish we could have stayed longer, but it was time for Jeffe to get on the plane. I have a new found love for Chicago and I definitely want to come back soon. I didn't get to see The Bean, but I have it on the list for the next trip.
Now it's time to get on the plane and head back to DC. I am excited to finally have time to be a real wife who is home every night!
